SMS Messaging Terms

How Goodfoot uses text messaging to coordinate active client engagements.

Effective: July 2026

The Program

Goodfoot uses SMS for direct, one-to-one communication with clients under an active, signed engagement — not for marketing or promotional messages, and not to prospects or purchased contact lists. Messages come from the Goodfoot delivery team and are used to confirm meeting times, share brief status updates on in-progress work, and respond to questions a client texts to us directly.

Who Receives These Messages

Recipients are individuals at client organizations who have either:

  • Signed a written engagement agreement containing an SMS consent clause. Every Goodfoot Statement of Work includes language the client reads and signs before any message is sent: “By signing, you agree to receive SMS from Goodfoot at the number provided, related to this engagement (scheduling, status updates, and replies to your questions). Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Your number will not be shared for marketing. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.” The signed, dated agreement is retained as our consent record, or

  • Initiated the conversation themselves by texting our business number first, which we treat as consent to receive replies within that conversation.

We do not add phone numbers to this program from any other source.

Message Frequency

Frequency varies based on your active engagement and is tied to real project events — there is no fixed recurring schedule. Message and data rates may apply.

Sample Messages

  • “Goodfoot: You're now set up to receive SMS about your engagement. Msg&data rates may apply, frequency varies. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”

  • “Goodfoot: Hi [Client Name], confirming our check-in call [Date] at [Time] ET to review the staging deploy. Reply YES to confirm. Reply STOP to opt out.”

  • “Goodfoot: Quick update — the [issue/deliverable] you flagged is fixed and redeployed to staging. Let us know if you see anything else. Msg&data rates may apply.”

  • “Goodfoot: Reminder — our [meeting name] is [Date] at [Time] ET. Reply HELP for help, STOP to opt out.”

Opt-In Confirmation, Opt-Out, and Help

The first message you receive confirms you have been enrolled in this program (see sample above). Reply STOP at any time to stop receiving SMS from Goodfoot — you will get one final message confirming you have been unsubscribed, and can reply START to resubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance, or contact us at [email protected] or (855) 855-1963.
